Full Job Description
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Organic Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Veronique Gouverneur for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves the development of novel methodologies to facilitate the preparation of fluorinated molecules with sustainability criteria in mind and is funded by the ERC (HBPTC and UKRI).

Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires expertise in synthetic organic chemistry or fluorine chemistry. You will experience in solid state chemistry, solution phase chemistry and the synthesis of various ligands for fluoride or metal binding. You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
