Full Job Description

We seek a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Prof. Molly Stevens's lab at the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery. The candidate should be a highly motivated researcher with expertise in biomaterials, a proven track record of first-author publications, and excellent collaboration skills. You will develop bioactive hybrid materials, evaluate their functionality using cell and organoid models, and engineer regenerative tissue constructs for treating various disorders. This fixed-term post begins in January 2025 for 18 months, with part-time appointments considered.,

  • Develop and validate cell and organoid models.
  • Investigate cell-material interactions using advanced characterization techniques (e.g., tissue reconstruction, MEA, calcium imaging, omics).
  • Integrate materials into medical devices for neurotechnology.
  • Contribute to a library of functionalized hybrid nanomaterials.
  • Manage research activities and collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.

    PhD/DPhil in a related field (or near completion).
  • Expertise in cell culture, organoid models, and characterization techniques.
  • Strong independence, organizational, and communication skills.
