Full Job Description
We seek a motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Prof. Molly Stevens's lab at the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in organic/polymer chemistry, a proven track record of first-author publications, and strong teamwork and leadership skills. In this role, you will design and synthesize a library of lipid-like polymers (lipidoids) for nanoparticle formulations in nucleic acid delivery. The position is available from January 2025 for 18 months, with part-time appointments considered.,
- Develop polymer-lipid nanoparticles and design functionalization strategies for drug delivery.
- Use advanced nanomaterial characterization techniques, including cryo-TEM, DLS, SAXS/SANS, and SPARTA.
- Collaborate across disciplines to apply materials to biomedical research.
- Manage research activities and contribute to the Stevens Group's multidisciplinary environment. Selection criteria:
- PhD (completed/near completion) in chemistry, nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Expertise in organic synthesis, nanoparticle development, and characterization.
- Strong publication record and collaborative skills.
