Full Job Description
Lancaster University is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our Admissions Team for a two-year secondment cover. We are seeking an experienced people manager to oversee the postgraduate admissions team, leading and developing admissions professionals while maximising student recruitment to achieve challenging targets.
In this role, you will work closely with the admissions management team to provide operational leadership for postgraduate admissions activities. You will manage applications and drive continuous improvement across processes, ensuring a fair and transparent admissions service for applicants, offer holders, and staff members.
You will have experience in developing and continuously improving processes, with the ability to motivate, influence, and work collegiately at different levels of the organisation. You must be skilled in interpreting and reporting complex admissions management information for a range of stakeholders and contribute in-depth knowledge of the education sector to the development of the admissions strategy. This will ensure the delivery of a high-quality admissions service that supports the university's recruitment strategy.
As a team player with strong leadership skills, you should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and the confidence to work with multiple stakeholders with competing requirements.
