We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the Doctoral Academy team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE). The successful candidate will ideally have relevant knowledge and experience of working in the area(s) of administrative support in a customer service setting.
The role of the PGR Operations Assistant is to provide efficient, effective and flexible administrative support within the Examinations Team. Ideally, you will have relevant administrative skills and competences to work within a busy office environment. You will be highly motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills. You should have some knowledge and an understanding of the structures and processes within large complex organisations, ideally in student support within an HE environment.
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills, with the ability to deal with multiple and competing deadlines. As first point of contact, you will be responding to queries from Postgraduate Researchers and academic colleagues. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the PGR examinations process is completed according to policy and procedures.
