Full Job Description

Join our dynamic team to drive engine development and validation testing, ensuring product attribute targets are defined and achieved, while supporting the timing, cost, and quality of all Aston Martin engine projects, Define and maintain component and system targets, while creating and owning the Design Verification Plan (DVP). Develop and execute mechanical and performance testing and lead problem-solving efforts during the development program. Collaborate closely with vehicle teams to integrate the engine into the powertrain.

  • Work with build teams to optimize instrumentation layouts and requirements
  • Guide analysis teams to correlate test results with simulations
  • Interpret test data to validate design functions
  • Optimize test procedures and data analysis tools
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and work closely with the calibration team to ensure reliable engine performance.

    Extensive hands-on experience in engine, transmission, and driveline testing and development, with a strong background in failure investigations, problem-solving, and working within OEM environments. Proven ability to manage external engineering resources and optimize processes through data analysis.
  • Experience in engine dyno testing
  • Close collaboration with design and simulation teams
  • Experience in managing concern resolution and delivering design solutions across functional teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in testing budgets, timing management, and industry-standard dyno/vehicle validation procedures
  • Strong project control skills, including resource planning, timing, and milestone management. A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with a focus on powertrain development. Demonstrates strong technical skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to provide clear technical direction to design engineers. Independent, proactive, and cost-conscious with a focus on accountability and delivering on commitments.
