Full Job Description

As PR Manager you will be responsible for an ongoing drumbeat of brand amplification, through consistent visibility of Selfridges expertly curated Lifestyle & Experience categories. This covers product, projects and launches across Food, Restaurants, Home, Tech and Toys as well as communicating Selfridges' unrivalled events and experiences. As an integral part of the team responsible for PR & Social at Selfridges, you will support the delivery of the overall PR & Social strategy with a focus on amplifying the Lifestyle (Home, Technology, Toys, Food & Restaurants) & Experience categories.

As a PR Manager you will:

  • Work alongside the PR Lead to deliver the annual PR strategy with a focus on amplifying Lifestyle and Experience categories

  • Ensure consistent visibility of Selfridges Lifestyle categories via organic media and social engagement, within target titles and POI networks, in the UK (local to national) and internationally

  • Work with the PR Lead to amplify stories across our Manchester and Birmingham stores, supporting our external PR agency

  • Collaborate across the PR & Social team to deliver 360 results to enhance Selfridges position as leader in product innovation and newness

  • Support the Social team with the delivery of Lifestyle and Experience content for our owned channels

  • 360 PR lead on calendar events, including the delivery of the Selfridges annual PR strategy for Christmas

  • Identify new opportunities and strengthen Selfridges relationships locally and globally, across Editor, Stylist, VIP, People of Influence and Creator networks through close relationships, compelling story-telling and an approach that is both strategic and creative

  • Partner with business divisions including Buying, Marketing, Editorial and Content to provide dual-purpose support to the business - driving traffic to Selfridges,com while acting as guardian to Selfridges unique brand position

  • Manage PR Coordinators and support them to ensure products are always well represented and in the right publications both in print and online

  • Be an expert in the Lifestyle landscape, and an ambassador for Selfridges internally and externally

    Extensive experience at agency or in house in a similar role

  • Strong relationships with a range of lifestyle media contacts

  • Proven ability to generate high quality media coverage with a 360-comms approach

  • Ability to work on multiple projects across categories at any one time

  • Excellent creative writing and presentation skills

  • Understanding of working across teams and with many internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives

  • Enthusiasm and interest in sustainability, particularly within Lifestyle spaces

  • Extremely well versed in Food and Interiors trends and fully connected with news agenda (national and global)
