Full Job Description

If you have strong administrative experience and finance experience, we have just the opportunity for you at our Basildon Vets for Pets practice! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy practice and to work with an excellent team who deliver great client service and always put the client's pet first.,

  • The day to day managing of all insurance claims for the practice and our clients.
  • Chase all insurances, cash debtors, direct credits, charity accounts and referral invoices with clients.
  • Be able to refer clients to debt collectors after 90 days
  • Comply with Health & Safety Regulations and local policy within the surgery.
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure that the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are always presentable.
  • Bereavement handling - offer physical and emotional assistance to clients in sensitive situations.
  • Adhere to and be able to locate all Company and local policies and procedures.
  • Complete pre-authorisations, submit insurance claims, process payments and queries effectively in a timely manner.
  • Complete the debt list in line with the Debt Management Process on a weekly basis.
  • Cashing up and Banking when required.
  • Support Reception and Clinical colleagues with all financial enquiries., This role is Part time working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note this role may include some evening shifts until 8pm. No weekends!

    You need excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a clinical setting.
