Full Job Description

We are excited to offer a current vacancy within Offender Health, working within the physical healthcare team.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants who have a proven record in improving patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness. The successful post-holders will be highly visible, proactive and compassionate clinical leaders and will act as a role model and clinical resource for all ward staff.

The Practice Development Matron will offer a 'hands on' supportive role, working alongside healthcare staff across our sites to take forward, evidence and monitor service improvement initiatives.

They will identify areas for improvement and will support the delivery of quality governance frameworks and the CQC Fundamental Standards., The Practice Development Matron will be well-informed as to what good quality care looks like and will be skilled at encouraging and negotiating improvements where necessary and be able to plan and deliver a training programme that supports the development of skills and knowledge in all areas of physical health, including both chronic and acute conditions. They will also support the Directorate to evidence where high quality patient centred care is being delivered.

You will on, occasion, also have responsibility for planning, delivering and evaluating small scale projects as required by the Senior Management team.
