Full Job Description

We are looking for a Practice Development Nurse to come and work within our UTC team to help to shape the future of nursing in the centre and beyond. This is an exciting new role working to develop the Band 6 nurses through their ENP/ANP modules and the HCAs into associate nurses. This job would suit someone with an Emergency Department background that is interested in primary care or vice versa and bringing nursing across these two specialties closer together. An ACP qualification at MSc Level is an advantage., Within a shared governance framework, the post holder will provide direction for the future of nursing through practice development and education, reflecting the strategic changes in the nursing profession. Through a process of work based competencies, the post holder will provide continuing support to all grades of staff in their delivery of nursing care, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and medical colleagues Contribute to the quality, monitoring, evaluation and the development of the service. The post holder will be passionate about the patients in Tower Hamlets and beyond helping them to make better use of the NHS locally and supporting clinicians to make the best use of their skills.

The Care Group was formed to manage borough level contracts on behalf of the practices, deliver primary care led services and support general practices, and to be the provider voice of primary care in the wider health and social care system.     £60,000 to £65,000 a year depending on skills and experience
