Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 7 to join our Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) in the capacity of Practice Development Nurse. We are seeking an individual who has the integrity, drive and commitment to build upon the achievements made thus far, and who will continue to lead the nursing team in providing the best quality care for this client group and their families. To be successful you will need to be committed to ensuring patients are treated with dignity, care and compassion.

The role of the Practice Development Nurse is to be an expert practitioner who will lead by example and who can provide leadership and organisation to the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will ensure that quality indicators are achieved and where necessary ensure effective and continuous evaluation and action taken where appropriate.

The post holder must be able to make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice to ensure agreed standards and targets are met. The team has a strong multidisciplinary focus within the service and the successful candidate will need to be able to work inter-professionally and link closely with the team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the client group., The role of the Practice Development Nurse is to be an expert practitioner who leads by example and can provide leadership and organisation to the multidisciplinary team.
