The Senior Clinical Educator will provide management and development support to junior educators. Through the design and implementation of education the practice development practitioner will contribute to interprofessional learning and clinical excellence. In order to deliver education that meets service needs and priorities the practice development practitioner will work collaboratively with clinical managers, the corporate education team, and external partners., As a senior practitioner with specialist knowledge the post-holder will be active in supporting and furthering quality and governance structures. They will represent practice development and education on behalf of their clinical area. They will also be engaged with audit, service improvement and research., The post-holder will be a highly experienced, knowledgeable practitioner who provides leadership in practice development and education to the non-medical workforce. They will role model best, evidence-based professional practice. Clinical educational support for learners at the bedside will be a substantial part of this role. - Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, mentorship module, or equivalent). Desirable criteria
- Relevant post-registration qualification or evidence of ongoing professional development., Demonstrable experience in clinical practice, including delivering high standards of care.
- Proven track record in leading or supporting staff education and development initiatives.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supervising junior staff or students. Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in a Practice Development Nurse or similar role.
- Experience in implementing change management projects or quality improvement initiatives., In-depth understanding of evidence-based practice and its application to clinical settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
- Knowledge of current healthcare policies, standards, and frameworks. Desirable criteria
- Ability to design and deliver training programs tailored to various learning needs., Commitment to professional development and improving the quality of patient care., Ability to inspire and motivate others, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement., You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
