Full Job Description

The primary role of the post holder will be to deliver the education strategy for the theatre departments and ensure the provision of a progressive learning environment for all grades of staff employed within the theatre environment. The post will be based at County Theatres but will need to work at the Royal Stoke site on occasion., The post holder will lead on the implementation of education, development plans, induction, mentoring and preceptorship and the on going professional development of all critical care staff. The post holder will assist in the delivery of robust programmes of education, and participate in audit to evaluate effectiveness and maintain standards of nursing care. The PDP will act as a credible and professional role model, empowering staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential.

The Practice Development Practitioner will participate in innovation and evidence based nursing practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team.

Work closely with the Senior Clinical Practitioners for Quality to support and educate the clinical team., We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.
