Full Job Description
As a Band 5 Practice Educator you will assist in organising and delivering in-house clinical skills training aligned with KCHFT delegable training packages to the KCC unit support staff, as assessed by the health needs of the children and young people accessing the service.
You will ensure the staff are able to carry out clinical procedures supported through training and competency attainment and provide ongoing advice for staff to feel confident to carry out their role safely.
In addition, you will work collaboratively and effectively with all other health care professionals and those allied to health and social care involved with the children and families.

We are looking for an experienced nurse with good clinical skills and a passion for teaching health related tasks to non-registered staff who deliver care to young people in Kent County Council (KCC) Children's Residential Short Breaks Units.
You will be part of an integrated team working jointly with health and social care children's residential short breaks units for children and young people aged 5- 18 years with learning disabilities, and complex health needs, providing up to date and evidence-based teaching and assessment of clinical skills competency to KCC unit support staff.
