Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced person, initially on a fixed term contract, to replace our outgoing Practice Manager who is retiring.

The role is varied and interesting and the Practice Manager is supported by a Managerial Assistant, Administration and Secretarial Staff, a Prescribing Clerk and a team of Receptionists. We also have a small Dispensary located at our branch surgery in Tutshill which is run by our two experienced Dispensers., The main duties included in this role are HR and Staff Training, Finance, IT, Health and Safety, Information Governance, Patient Services, Premises and Equipment, Quality Improvement Projects, attendance at local Collaborative Meetings and working closely with the Practice Partners to ensure the smooth running of the Practice.

The Practice is very involved in teaching and we currently support two GP Registrars and tutor Year 5 and Year 3 Medical Students on rotation and the Practice Manager liaises with HIEW and Cardiff University to facilitate this.

We are a friendly practice team, working across two sites; the main site is located in Chepstow with a branch surgery in Tutshill. We have a clinical team comprising of 6 GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Nurse Practitioner, together with a Clinical Pharmacist, 4 Practice Nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistants.
