Full Job Description
To improve the medicines management services through a systematic and coordinated programme of quality improvement; assist in the optimization of prescribing and improve the experience and health outcomes for patients, wherever medicines are involved.
The successful candidate will have excellent comprehension; organization and analytical skills, a good understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work with clinical data in a meticulous, methodical and accurate way. Good computer and communication skills are also required.
Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous but is not necessary as full training will be provided.
We are a forward-thinking, innovative Practice with a friendly and inclusive philosophy. We are the largest Practice in Northumberland with c. 19,500 patients, 8 GP Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, Pharmacist, ANPs, Musculoskeletal Practitioners and a highly skilled Nursing team.
We work as part of Wansbeck Primary Care Network with 3 other practices including Bedlingtonshire, Gables and Guidepost covering c. 46,000. The Network has a variety of Additional Roles including Community Link Workers, Mental Health Practitioners, First Contact Physios, Health & Well Being Coaches and Pharmacists.
