Practice Nurse

We are looking for a friendly and vibrant General Practice Nurse to join our well-established nursing team.

You will be NMC registered and will share in the usual distribution of work across our nurse team.
Main duties of the job

• Chronic Disease Management/Long Term Conditions within the clinic setting


• Health Promotion


• Cervical cytology & teaching breast awareness


• Wound care


• LES/DES/QOF related clinical and administrative work


• Routine immunisations / Childhood immunisations


• Smoking Cessation


• Flu, Pneumococcal, Shingles and Pertussis in Pregnancy vaccinations


• Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs


• Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
  
  Mexborough Health Centre is a busy medical practice with approximately 5000 patients. We focus on continually improving the health of our patients and residents of the community. We are a friendly, hard working team who do their best to make patients feel confident and at ease with us. We are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse part time, hours negotiable., We are a team of 2 GPs, 2 ANPs, 2 Practice Nurses 1 HCA, and 10 administrative staff. The surgery strives to maintain an environment which is welcoming, caring and accessible to all our patients. We aim to treat all our patients fairly and equally, with dignity and respect. We aim to deliver effective and efficient healthcare in line with the CQC and by embracing new technologies.
