Practice Nurse

We are looking for a Part time Practice Nurse to join and grow with our existing Nursing Team to provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for our 7,000 patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the Primary healthcare team., Deliver effective management of patients with chronic diseases as detailed by the Quality Outcomes Framework by implementing and using protocols and clinical guidelines.

Work with patients to support compliance with, and adherence to, prescribed treatments.

Wound care/ulcer care

Health promotion.

Urinalysis.

ECGs.

Venepuncture.

Blood pressure/ hypertension reviews.

Routine adult and child injections and immunisations/ travel immunisations.

Initiate, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures as appropriate for chronic disease management.

Womens health checks including contraception, sexual health, and cervical cytology.

Knowledge/usage of System One clinical system is desirable.

Applicant should have a minimum of 2 years post registration experience and have worked in Primary care.

Lodge Road Surgery is situated in a modern glass front building with car parking facilities. We have a team of GPs, Nurses, HCA, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician, Physio Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Receptionists, GPA's, Administrators, Social Prescribers and Management working as a close team to provide excellent primary care for our 7000 patients in a safe, friendly, environment for patients and staff.
