Practice Nurse

We are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse with previous experience working in Primary Care for 24 hours per week, over three days. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Practice Nurse to work as part of our established and supportive team. The candidate will provide a high standard of care for patients and will work closely to support the practice partners and other members of the healthcare team., To develop, implement and embed health promotion and well being programmes. To be qualified to deliver support to patients with long term conditions such as Asthma, COPD and Diabetes alongside general practice nurse duties including childhood immunisations, adult vaccinations, screening programmes and wound care.

Beacon View Medical Centre is a very friendly, busy, GMS practice with a list size of approximately 5,600 patients. We consist of 2 partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 Physician Associate, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA, 1 Care Coordinator and an admin team of 6. We are a training practice so have doctors in training within the surgery. We are a supportive team with a good sense of humour and committed to giving the best possible care for our patients. We are part of the Gateshead Central South PCN.
