Practice Nurse - West Barnes Surgery

General:

• Work with other members of the nursing and healthcare team to organise and provide nursing services for the practice population
• Provide nursing treatments to patients in participation with General Practitioners (GPs) or independently, following agreed protocols
• Provide general and specific health screenings to the practice patients (within agreed protocols) with referral to GPs as necessary
• Advise patients on general healthcare and minor ailments with referral to GPs as necessary
Essential duties:
• Cytology and sexual health screening
• Wound care
• Sexual health
• Diabetes Management
• Removal of sutures
• Zoladex
• Contraception
• Routine immunisations/childhood immunisations
  
  The Kingston GP Federation (Kingston GP Chambers) is recruiting for an experienced part-time Practice Nurse on behalf of West Barnes Surgery. The successful applicant will be expected to work 9.5 hours per week across Tuesday afternoon (15.30 - 20.00) and Friday morning (08:00 - 13:00).
West Barnes Surgery has a solid patient list of in excess of 7,000 patients and is overseen by four partners. The workforce is made up of 30 team members across the clinical and administration teams. The practice has been rated as 'good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and offer high quality compassionate health care to patients in a friendly welcoming setting. Patient care is at the heart of everything the practices does, with the aim being to provide patients with a personalised medical and nursing service.
