Full Job Description

Are you looking to develop your skills working psychologically with psychosis? Due to existing staff progression, this is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team. We offer a range of support and interventions, working holistically with people and their families to promote an effective recovery. Hailsham EIP has been rated as 'top performing' in the most recent National Clinical Audit of Psychosis, and psychological interventions are a key part of the offer, with an emphasis on CBT and Family Work.

Working in Early Intervention Services:The service offers support and treatment to people aged 14 - 65 who have experienced either a first episode of psychosis or present with an At-Risk Mental State.The Hailsham EIP team is one of 6 Early Intervention in Psychosis teams provided by the Trust. The teams have a single service-wide governance group which oversees and leads on the delivery of care. There are opportunities for genuine MDT working and collaboration with other staff groups in the team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Qualified Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist with an interest in working with psychosis.

Career Progression:The post holder will be supported by the Principal Counselling Psychologist in the team, and will be joining a welcoming group of Psychological Professionals who work across different services in the local area. You will be provided with individual clinical supervision, group supervision for family interventions and opportunities to link with other Practitioner Psychologists both within EIP and other services for peer support and professional development. You will have opportunities to develop your special interests and expertise in line with service and team objectives, and will be supported in your continuing professional development and in building skills relevant to your career development. The team has successfully hosted trainee clinical and counselling psychologists on placement and the successful applicant will contribute to supervision of trainees working within the team.
