Full Job Description

We are delighted to be recruiting to a full time, permanent Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist in the Paediatric Gastroenterology Psychology at the Evelina London Children's Hospital. Thisis an exciting opportunity to join an established psychology service providing support for children and young people with a range of gastroenterological difficulties. The post holders will be basedwithin the welcoming Paediatric Psychology service at Evelina London (Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust).

We are looking for motivated psychologists with an interest in working with children, young people and families with complex health conditions experiencing associated psychological distress or difficulties, as well as in working with professional colleagues in a collaborative manner to provide high quality holistic care., The post holder will provide psychological assessments and interventions to inpatients and outpatients, supporting them to manage a range of gastroenterological conditions, including motility issues, inflammatory bowel disease and functional gastrointestinal disorders. The post holder would also be responsible for co-facilitating groups, facilitating case consultations, as well as contributing to research and staff development within the MDT and the wider trust.

Being within Paediatric Psychology offers good opportunities for collaborative working, audit & research, teaching and training. We meet regularly as a team to explore clinical dilemmas and share new learnings across our diverse services. Supervision will be provided by an experienced Psychologist within the team. Additional opportunities include; reflective practice groups, peer supervision as well as SIG networks across the UK. Service relevant CPD is actively encouraged.
