Full Job Description

Are you an experienced social worker who is motivated to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people? Do you know what good social care for children looks like, and can you support others to improve practice? If so, we are looking for people like you to join our Practice Hub, supporting our quality assurance and improvement activities across social care within the Trust and with partners., We are expanding our QA Team with 7 new roles for Senior Practitioner Quality and Improvement, who will be responsible for understanding the lived experiences of children and young people and using their voice to influence practice. You will achieve this through completing audits and evaluating practice against our excellent practice model. The role will also include mentoring, supporting and training others to support children and families to receive the best service we can offer.

The successful candidates will be passionate about giving the children and young people of Birmingham the best start in life. We are looking for people who are professionally curious, able to celebrate great practice and who are able to hold difficult conversations to improve the services we offer. We want you to be enthusiastic, organised, and solution focused.

At Birmingham Children's Trust we aim to be one dedicated team with a single unwavering focus - to improve the outcomes for children, young people and families in Birmingham.

We recognise that to achieve this we need the best, most talented, innovative and committed people to join us.

You will be part of a diverse and vibrant community of social work and support service professionals who are outcomes focussed and operate with a strong team ethos.

Being part of that team has responsibilities too; we want everyone, no matter what their role in the Trust, to bring their best self to work every day, to engage with the day to day challenges positively and to be supportive of and trust in each other.

We care about our people and that's what will make us an Employer of Choice for social workers, children's services and associated support services.
