We are looking for a pre-construction professional to be our operational lead in our pre-contract team for our Thames Water Framework. You will be leading and coordinating the pre-contract team to ensure our allocated tenders are accurately priced and programmed to give us opportunity to deliver our target margins. You will be responsible for client interface and producing the tenders in an efficient way to quickly get the tenders into Contract and handed over to the delivery team. The role of a pre-construction Contracts Manager
includes: - Producing accurate and detailed programmes to support the tender build-up - Coordinating and managing a multi-disciplined pre-contract team - Preparation and review of Contract documents including identifying Employer's Risks - Working closely with the project estimator to accurately price the scope of works and tender design - Liaison with the client to manage inflow/outflow of tenders and working closely with the Client during the tender process and post submission during negotiation - Involved in strategy to drive improvements to improve various processes to improve the overall tender process - Ability to consider and price risk that may be applicable to the various different types of work, This role does promote hybrid working and is predominantly home based with some site/office visits required every month. - Alongside our significant training and development investment, bespoke progression plan and support to achieve professional chartership, we offer a wide range of financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits that you can tailor to your needs.

Extensive knowledge of waste/water/infra projects and how they are designed and built - A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites / office as and when required - Good team player and ability to lead and coordinate a team to efficiently price and deliver estimates - A good all round knowledge of design, operational, commercial and contract disciplines - Organised and high attention to detail - Previous experience in an estimating/tendering environment is desirable
