Pre-Construction Technician

We are seeking an experienced pre-construction technician to deliver all projects ensuring the company and clients expectations are achieved through proactive and planned delivery. This role will be an integral part of the operational delivery team. You will deliver all projects on time to programme ensuring the clients satisfaction and delivery objectives are consistently met through regular communication and feedback. Managing all financial aspects of the project to ensure the business is meeting its financial objectives. Experience in delivering a wide variety of telecoms projects is essential. Key responsibilities & duties:

• Low voltage design packs
• Gathering design information from clients
• Overseeing design process for DNO/IDNO
• Gaining design approvals from DNO/IDNO
• To deliver designs on time and within budget
• Cost control on projects
• Procurement of materials as per deign packs
• Put together estimating plans in CAD format
• Compete as laid drawings in CAD format
• Put together CAD template for projects
• Liaise with other staff / client to ensure all targets and key milestones are met.
• Ensure that the legal completion for their individual projects is being monitored.
• To provide and feedback relevant KPI information as required.
• Oversee all pre-construction activity/back office paperwork
• Complete all completion paperwork for DNO/IDNO closure
Authorities if applicable i.e. stop works on the grounds of health and safety, raise issues of non-conformance to management

Full Driving Licence Relevant tickets Knowledge and experience of NEC Contracts Desirable (or progression possibilities) NEBOSH IOSH DNO/IDNO Authorisations Skills/Experience/Competence Required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Confidentiality Organisation Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills Ability to multitask and prioritise your workload Previous experience AUTOCAD Experience in managing DNO/IDNO designs Specific contract / department requirements: Monday - Friday Full time Qualities
