Full Job Description

You will gain experience in all aspects of pharmacy services including ward based clinical pharmacy where you will be interviewing patients about their medications on admission, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure all medications are available for the patient, including the provision of leave & / or discharge medication. You will be trained in dispensing, medicines optimisation, stock management and procurement., We provide a friendly and sociable working environment and are looking for forward thinking, enthusiastic and highly motivated staff to train within our constantly developing team.This highly sort after training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship, whereby apprenticeship funding rules apply. It is a full-time fixed term contract for 2 years.

The salary for this training post is 70% of the top of a Band 4 pay band year 1 and then 75% of the top of a Band 4 pay band Year 2. (Annex 21/U). For existing NHS staff pay preservation will be available. (Annex 30). This can be discussed further at interview. The annual leave entitlement would be 27 annual days per year plus Bank Holidays.
