Are you an enthusiastic, driven individual with the flexibility and commitment to train and study to become a registered Pharmacy Technician? Then look no further!, Our Pharmacy teams are looking to appoint to a two-year fixed term training contract, based across sites at both Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley District General Hospital. The department provides an extensive range of services where Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) play an important role working under supervision alongside pharmacists, medicines management pharmacy technicians, pharmacy support staff and other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will be varied and include medicines management duties at ward level undertaking medicines reconciliation, assessing patients own medicines for suitability and ordering medication for individual patients. The role is integral in providing a quality dispensing and medicines management service for all patients within the Trust., You will follow a comprehensive training programme that will cover all aspects of hospital pharmacy; to include placements within stores and procurement, aseptics, clinical trials, outpatient pharmacy receiving, validating and issuing medicines , as well as the opportunity to undertake a community pharmacy, mental health and GP placement.
As a student, you will study virtually via Bradford College on a day release to achieve BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians. You will receive full support from an Educational Supervisor and qualified pharmacy assessors to complete the qualification.

This role will be paid under Annex 21 of a band 4, the salary is stated below:
Year 1 = 70% top of band 4 = £22,308 (minimum wage)
Year 2 = 75% top of band 4 = £22,308 (minimum wage)
