Full Job Description

We're looking for a Pre-Sales Bid Consultant reporting to our Business Development Bid Director as part of the Business Development Team (Sales and Marketing) team. You'll be responsible for creating sales-content for bid responses, principally around the HCM product set and functional area, incorporating written RFP responses, slide content, solution positioning content and developing key value themes aligned to client needs and our value proposition.,

  • Work closely with the sales team and Bid Director to provide key input to bid cycles
  • Provide value-based bid response content, building linkage between client needs and our value proposition and as part of the overall deal strategy directed by the sales lead
  • Help with proposition positioning, include workshop participation, as part of the wider sales team
  • Work closely with Delivery and Practice leads to ensure the linkage is clear between the sales positioning and the subsequent solution/outcomes we will deliver to the client
  • Create libraries of model responses and work with the Bid Director to identify and implement process efficiencies during bid cycles
  • Develop a positive relationship with Oracle's Solution Engineering team (initially the HCM Solution Engineering Team) to ensure alignment on positioning and for collaboration on joint bid responses
  • Fully participate in and contribute to the bid qualification process, identifying win themes, competitive differentiation and key client value aspects
  • Work with the Practice Directors to ensure costings for proposals are prepared and go through necessary QA processes
  • Ensure good communications and manage relationship where we are submitting through framework agreements
  • Submit clarification and other questions on time through relevant tender portals
  • Monitor and register on tender portals
  • Maintain password access to the tender portals
  • Maintain records on Sales Cloud
  • Keep all documents stored securely on SharePoint
  • Produce appropriate reports, when requested
  • Maintain product/solution knowledge and attend appropriate and relevant training

    Experience of Oracle Cloud Applications (namely HCM and Payroll with if possible additional knowledge of ERPM and Oracle Technology solutions)
  • Good working knowledge of third party products (e.g. Justransform) and PaaS extensions
  • Creative and technical skills to build direct linkage from client needs to our proposed solutions
  • Client facing and pre-sales bid management experience
  • An ability to understand and communicate technical information to non-technical customers in a way that is easy to understand
  • Be able to work to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Excellent client facing skills and ability to liaise with clients, partners and colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
