Full Job Description

The Pre-Sales Manager must be a dedicated individual who is a great communicator, highly organised and meticulous with a proven track record of being a team player as well as autonomous. The role will be focused on a specific (but not limited to) product within Optimity's portfolio. You will ensure the clients expectations are met, therefore you will work closely with project management, other sales members and different departments to ensure continuous business relationships.

The successful candidate will:

  • Own their own pre sales, (no technical support for this role). This person will act as their own technical support and the account manager.

  • Design, operate and sell Microsoft products.

  • Take a specific target based on New Business.


  • The successful candidate must be able to visit clients when required (driver's licence and own vehicle ideal) and have the right to work in the UK.,
  • Responsible for generating net new sales within core specialism.

  • Manage vendor relationship.

  • Drive any marketing initiatives within own areas.

  • Cooperate with AM Team on upsell & cross-sell of products

  • Act as lead tech advisor for specific product.

  • Service multiple clients concurrently within strict timeframes to achieve business goals.

  • Discovery and creation of quotes and proposals through phone, email & meetings.

  • Operate as the main point of contact for your client portfolio.

  • Generating New Business.

  • Upsell and cross sell into existing accounts.

  • Manage the vendor relationship.

  • Work with marketing to create campaigns to support new business activity.

  • Build continuous business relationships and develop them through consistent contact.

  • Ensure the clients' needs are met through timely and effective delivery of Optimity's solutions.

  • Effective forecasting and client account tracking through use of CRM.

  • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service.

  • Renegotiating existing contracts and renewals to maintain existing business.

  • Develop and measure personal business goals and ensure they are met.


  • This list is not exhaustive, and the tasks assigned might increase as per company's needs.

  • 2 years' working as a Pre-Sales Manager selling ICT related products and services.

  • 2 years' experience on selling these products/partners: Redstor, Blackberry, Axcient, Datto, SOC and SIEM, email security, Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to build rapport and maintain customer relationships.

  • Initiative, flexibility and creativity to solve tough problems.

  • 2+ years of technology industry knowledge and current developments or an ability to learn quickly.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle pressure and hit monthly sales targets consistently.

  • Excellent time management and organisation - with the ability to triage and prioritise all obligations.

  • Be a team player., Pre-sales: 2 years (required)

  • working for an MSP: 2 years (required)
