Full Job Description

If you are passionate about working with newly qualified staff to support their transition from learner to autonomous practitioner within their chosen profession, then this could be the role for you.
The preceptorship lead will promote the support, development and confidence of all newly qualified NMC and AHPs registrants and be actively engaged in recruitment and retention strategies. You will develop, lead and evaluate the multi-professional preceptorship programme., + develop, lead, implement and evaluate the preceptorship programme
+ Work collaboratively across the region and nationally to share best practice
+ Work closely with the divisions to understand the support requirements
+ Lead on recruitment projects for newly qualified registrants, + Act in a supportive role as a coach, mentor and supportive listener
+ Be able to support staff with concerns such as, E-Roster issues, ward placements, career questions, health and wellbeing and skills development
+ To provide pastoral support for all new graduates signposting to services as required
+ Establish and maintain effective communication, maintaining confidentiality of information
+ Engage with learners and trust staff to identify what works well and identify any changes needed
+ Work closely with the recruitment team to support undergraduates through the recruitment process
+ Work closely with the clinical skills department manager to review and plan the work programmes to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation
+ Provide leadership to the clinical skills facilitators to ensure the training delivered is current and demonstrates evidence base practice
+ Ensure those who are new to Trust with experience are supported throughout their induction period

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing a DBS application is met by the successful applicant/s. DBS costs are recovered via salary deduction following starting in post.
If the post you are applying for requires a DBS - Inline with Trust policy the cost of submitting and processing a DBS for successful applications would be met by the individual themselves. The amount would vary depending on the level required: Standard Disclosure £18+£6.50 or Enhanced Disclosure £38+£6.50 (please be aware the additional sum is an administration fee and may increase due to inflation). This will be deducted from your salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.
