Full Job Description

The PL Kicks Project Officer will be responsible for the oversight, coordination and delivery of Millwall Community Trust's PL Kicks Project and its linked match funded elements which are primarily delivered in Southwark and Lewisham.

The PL Kicks Project Officer will work closely with the Community Manager, as well as a range of funding and operational partners to further develop the programme in the boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham, in addition they will monitor and evaluate the impact, and outcomes achieved by participants. The role involves managing and supervising sessional staff and volunteers to ensure that the services offered are of the highest quality and provide opportunities which inspire, engage, motivate, and empower young people in the local community.

The PL Kicks Project Officer role is centred around logistical set up of Millwall Community Trust's community-based hub and satellite sessions, updating participation records and submitting records via funders monitoring and evaluation systems, coaching delivery and engaging participants in community plus activities which include but not limited to workshops, social action projects, tournaments and mentoring are also part of the role alongside meeting key KPI's as set out by the Premier League Charitable Fund.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver a high-quality experience to all participants across the PL Kicks delivery timetable whilst achieving targets as set out by funders which include but are not limited to Premier League Charitable Fund, Southwark and Lewisham Council.

· Deliver social inclusion activities and other related initiatives (e.g. youth clubs, workshops, competitions, player visits, etc.) across a range of venues, in line with the delivery plan and seek to achieve the agreed target and impact outcomes.

· Liaise with Millwall Community Trust's sessional coaches and assign them to PL Kicks sessions whilst being responsible for supervising staff at sessions to ensure a high quality of delivery across all sessions.

· Directly delivering sports-based sessions across Millwall Community Trust's community-based programs, which include hub and satellite sessions in and around the boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham.

· Logging participant engagement from community sessions on to MCT's monitoring and evaluation systems whilst completing a range of other administrative duties as required.

· Build strong and positive relationships with a range of key stakeholders/partners whilst increasing Millwall Community Trust's PL Kicks footprint in the local area.

· Promote PL Kicks to schools, local community groups, key stakeholders, and other relevant parties to gain maximum attendance on each session.

· Quality assures the provision/services delivered via effective monitoring of sessions.

· Provide quarterly reports to senior staff, funders, steering groups on progress made against targets set in the Community development plan. Provide reports, statistics, and case studies for the Community Manager.

· UEFA C License / FA Level 2 in Coaching Football.

· Level 2 in youth work principles.

· Safeguarding Children & First Aid certificates

Knowledge and Experiences

· Proven track record of working with young people in a range of sporting and classroom-based settings.

· Previous experience in project Co-ordination.

· Experience of managing or supervising staff/volunteers.

· Experience in working, developing, and managing relevant partnerships in the social inclusion / youth work sector.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as data management systems to monitor, evaluate and report to funders which include use of salesforce CRM.

Skills

· Example of good communication and inter-personal skills - both verbal and written

· The ability to be able to enthuse and motivate participants and staff to boost session quality and engagement.

· Have a flexible approach to work and be able to work unsociable hours daily which centres around the community timetable which requires regular evening work up until 19:00 on most evening with working until 21:00 being a requirement on Friday's., · Other Sporting National Governing Body qualifications

· Level 2 in effective mentoring

· Project Management

Knowledge and Experiences

· Track record of delivering positive activities to young people.

· Understanding of dynamics of boroughs of Southwark & Lewisham

Other

· A full driving license and access to a vehicle for business use to ensure efficient movement between community sessions, travel expenses covered.

Salary: £24,000 to £28,000

Hours of work: 40hrs a week - Work Schedule to coincide with Community evening hours delivery timetable.

Contract Length: Fixed term until August 2026

Location: The Lions Centre/St Pauls Sports Ground and various satellite venues in Southwark and Lewisham.
