Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist (Gynaecology) - Modality LLP

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to expand our community gynaecology team and support the growth and development of our service.

This job is suitable for individuals have a passion for working in an agile manner ensuring a high-quality service is provided. The postholder(s) will be committed to undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, within the bounds of their own competence.

The job is not suitable to people who are not resilient to working in a fast-paced environment, working flexibly in line with ever changing demands in Community Services and the wider NHS., The post holder will support Modality LLPs community Gynaecology Service as an independent prescribing Clinical Pharmacist, who acts within their professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team of Gynaecology specialists.

The poster holder will:

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient facing role. The post holder will take responsibility for areas of disease management such as menopause, menstruation PCOS and undertake patient and medication reviews, to proactively manage patient symptoms.

Ensure that the service integrates with community and hospital pharmacy to help utilise skill mix, improve patient outcomes, ensure better access to healthcare and help manage workload. The role is pivotal to improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies so requires motivation and passion to deliver excellent service within the community setting.

Already be a non-medical prescriber but will be supported to develop their scope of practice in line with the needs of the service and their own training plan, as agreed with the service clinical lead.

Our service offer and expertise include:

Over 15 years of experience of delivering community outpatient services

Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers

A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals

Delivery of over 120,000 patient consultations per year

Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week
