Prescribing pharmacist

The post holder is an experienced prescribing clinical pharmacist. They will predominantly work to support the Covid Medicines Delivery Unit (CMDU) service at Haringey GP Federation.

The successful candidate will be confident making prescribing decisions within the remit of national guidance and local clinical pathways and protocols. The prescribing pharmacist will be offered training and will work under the supervision of the joint clinical lead pharmacists based at Haringey and Islington Federation.

Haringey and Islington GP Federation will be joint providers for the North Central London

Covid medicines delivery unit service. The service is moving to be primary care led and aims to improve clinical outcomes in non-hospitalised patients with covid19 who are at high risk of progression to severe disease and/or death. The primary role of the prescribing pharmacists time will be predominantly for this service.
