Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a PR professional looking for a new role covering a period of maternity leave. This role will be a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months with a possible option to extend. We're looking for a talented writer with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, as Press and Communications Officer you will help us to raise the profile of Radis Community Care, share our news and stories, and build our reputation across England and Wales. The Press and Communications Officer should have experience in, and can expect to:

  • Write press releases for traditional press, and optimise for digital press
  • Interview internal and external stakeholders and support spokespeople with media interviews
  • Build relationships with journalists, build relevant media lists and coordinate media requests
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and news
  • Generate ideas and write proactive news stories
  • Media monitoring, press coverage and reporting on performance of activities
  • Write engaging copy for a variety of purposes from press release and blogs to external award entries and campaigns
  • Develop and deliver communication plans, including press and social media, to drive reach, engagement and brand awareness

    Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Hours: 20hrs -25hrs per week - working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate Location - This can be a remote role, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Tamworth.
