Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a midwife to join our team to cover 12 months of maternity leave. Thepostholderisarecognisedexpertin bothclinicalmidwiferyand RH&CBresearch,withan interest in preterm birth. They will take responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of the clinical research portfolio that reflectsthe needs of women at high riskof or experiencing preterm birth and related clinical areas. You will provide expert support to colleagues through the research studyprocess, fromfeasibility, to clinicalpathwaysand study delivery. You will work collaboratively with the cross site research delivery teams and thewider multidisciplinary teamand act as an expert resource on both pretermbirth and research for clinical colleagues, women and their families.   • To facilitate efficient, safe and woman focused research including screening procedures,biologicalsamplecollection,andallclinicalobservationsrequiredto ensure and maintain patient safety before, during and after the research visit.
  • Totakeresponsibilityforensuring patientfacingequipmentismaintainedinline with Trust policy.
  • To ensure all staff (registered and unregistered) practice safely according to Trustpolicy,includingthefacilitationandrecordingofallmandatoryandspecific study related training, and provide excellent clinical care to women who have experienced, or are threatened to have, a preterm birth .
