Full Job Description

The Havering Primary Care Clinical Lead role provides an exciting opportunity for an established or aspiring Clinical leader to drive positive improvement in General practice and wider primary care in Havering, implementing the recommendations of the Fuller review, and making a real improve to outcomes for local people.

The successful candidate will work with theHavering Place-based Partnership Director and Clinical Director, Directors of Primary Care, and with other leads (including from across NEL). The post-holder will provide leadership at a Place level to support the ongoing development of local primary care services and deliver the twin aims of the NEL Primary Care Strategy:

o To improve core Primary Care services, including General Practice, through a QI approach

o To ensure Primary Care services, including General Practice, is ready to act as the cornerstone of the NEL integrated care system and deliver the visions of the Fuller Review locally.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate(s) will support the ongoing development of the Place based Partnership, will be flexible and resilient; having the ability to both challenge and collaborate with partners to drive transformation and improvements in outcomes, during a period of considerable transition andchange.

They will have a deep understanding of the challenges facing local Primary Care services and evolving requirements (such as the implementation of the recommendations from the Fuller Review), and will be passionate about improving quality, embedding innovation and improving outcomes for local people.

A key part of our Integrated Care System and its success will be the recruitment of teams of collaborative and diverse Clinical and Care Leadership within each Place.

The emerging Place based Partnerships within each of our boroughs are an exciting development that will see resources and decision making closer to local people and front line staff, giving the new Clinical and Care Leadership teamsworking with Place based Partners the ability to genuinely lead and drive change and improve outcomes for local people.

We will be providing development support for those appointed into leadership roles at borough and ICS level and are keen to ensure a more diverse range of clinical and care professionals able to participate in system leadership roles - better reflecting our ambitions around integration and the multidisciplinary nature of care, as well as the diversity of the communities we serve.
