Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a 12 months Fixed Term Contract as a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre located in Co Durham.
Derwentside IRC, is a female centre with 84 detainees and is based about 10 minute bus journey from Consett on bus or the site does have parking.

Hours

Your working shift pattern will be Monday - Sunday 8.15pm - 7.30am based on a 37.5 hours per week.,

  • You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions

  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening

  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team

    Registered nurse - Adult NMC

  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development

  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

  • Excellent communication skills, Enhanced Clinical Practitioner L6 or L7

  • Advanced Clinical Practitioner L7 (includes NMP)

    This position is full time, fixed term contract for 12 months, you'll receive an annual salary up to £39,900.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
