Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham, a category D Prison located in Preston. HMP Kirkham is a open prison with a capacity of 698 males. Hours The site offers service hours as follows, you will work Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week covering various shift patterns.

  • Monday - Thursday - 8am - 7pm
  • Friday - 8am - 4.30pm
  • Weekends and BH - 8am - 12noon, As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients
  • Undertake reception screening
  • se your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Current professional qualification NMC
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards

    This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115.00 per annum - depending on experience.
