It provides a tertiary referral service for glaucoma, as well as providing support for the glaucoma care of patients in the closely linked supra-regional corneal, vitreoretinal, uveitis and paediatric services. The service is supported by a highly developed and pioneering optometry shared-care service, as well as a well-integrated electronic patient record with long-standing historical data., the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Applications are warmly welcomed for a one year, fixed term, full time Primary Care Specialty Doctor post, ideally commencing on early April 2025. The post is designed to provide emergency ophthalmology services for patients attending an open door Emergency Department. This post may give the opportunity to rotate through subspecialties and potentially help with Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) subject to meeting competencies.
