Primary Outreach Officer

Kingsland School (Secondary) are seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified / experienced Primary Outreach Officer who is passionate about improving the life chances of vulnerable pupils. The successful candidate will work in our Primary Outreach Team which is encompassed within Kingsland School. The Outreach Team works primarily to support the inclusion of primary age pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD) in mainstream schools across Oldham.

The key responsibilities are to take an active role in supporting mainstream schools with the assessment of the most challenging and at-risk pupils, especially those deemed to be at risk of permanent exclusion. With ongoing support and guidance they will follow a graduated response to maximise the inclusion of pupils with SEMHD. The job purpose is to support the Service Manager to deliver an effective co-ordinated response for the pupils who are deemed vulnerable and have complex needs.

The successful candidate will work with a committed and supporive staff team.
