I am excited to be collaborating with a wonderful Primary School located in the heart of Chester. We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised School Secretary to manage the day-to-day administrative tasks and ensure the smooth running of the school's operations. This position is ideal for someone seeking a role with family-friendly hours, working within school terms, with no weekend commitments.   • Answering and directing incoming phone calls.
  • Organising and distributing internal messages.
  • Managing and updating the school's schedules.
  • Organizing and maintaining documents and files.
  • Welcoming and assisting parents and visitors.
  • Recording and managing financial information.
  • Monitoring and ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings.

    Previous experience in an administrative role is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in basic IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all administrative tasks.
  • A proactive and reliable team player who can work independently when needed.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment.
