The Academy was judged Good at its recent Ofsted inspections and is part of the Parallel Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust and DfE approved sponsor. The Academy works with up to 100 secondary-age and Year 6 male students who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues offering a residential provision. The Academy aims to support all students with their specific needs and barriers to learning to enable them to reach their full potential both academically and in terms of managing their behaviour. This is achieved by providing high quality teaching and learning and by using assessment, engagement and developing educational programmes. The Academy works actively with students and their families to ensure positive outcomes for all. Focused attention is paid to the student's individual needs through an integrated therapeutic approach to the curriculum. The Academy works with families to put in place aspirational targets for all learners and always celebrate the achievements of students to reinforce their success and achievement. Any of the students demonstrating the skills and attainment required to successfully reintegrate into a mainstream school will be supported in the transition. Families will also receive support and guidance on how to best work with the school to help ensure their child is successful. The Academy aims for all students to enter further education, training or employment on exit from the Academy. Our site is both attractive and well equipped in all areas of the curriculum and is well resourced. The school is situated with 14 acres of land in Ramsden Heath, near Billericay. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Primary Teacher to work with KS3 students, delivering a KS2 broad and balanced curriculum to students and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students. Ramsden Hall Academy holds a Good Ofsted status and our residential provision holds Outstanding Ofsted status. Our Academy is a Residential Special School for boys aged 10 to 16 who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The purpose of the post is to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. The post holder will ensure a cohesive and personalised programme of learning activities, in line with the national curriculum. The post holder will also have some pastoral responsibility and strive to ensure strong parent/carer relationships and have strong communication skills. The post holder will support the senior leadership team (SLT) in raising standards and improving outcomes for learners, through the provision of high quality professional services across the school. If you are Qualified teacher who is passionate about working with students with SEMH difficulties and can see the potential in all learners, then we would love to hear from you. A sense of humour is essential, and understanding of attachment, trauma based approaches and social development will be an advantage. Experience of the primary curriculum is essential.
