We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal, Change Management to lead resolution of complex business issues in the Last Mile Delivery space, with a focus on both, UTR and OTR operations. The candidate will take the lead on the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale or significantly complex opportunities that has a long-term impact on a product, technology or architecture of Last Mile operations. They work with leaders to identify gaps and select projects. They are involved in creating a culture of Continuous improvement and are able to technically review and steer the team on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies on a Black Belt or Master Black Belt level.

In this role they partner consistently with Operations, Program managers, Finance, Network Planning, Safety, Tech, and upstream/downstream teams. The role will require strategic thinking and consistent Director interaction to continually steer the direction of the team and achieve business goals. The role will also require mentoring team members to apply Lean process methodologies to highlight what tasks on the ground are value-added and non-valued-added and scaling up to what can be possible at a site-level and network-level., Drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of standard work
- Identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems. (e.g. highly complex, ambiguous, undefined, with less existing structure, or having significant business impact).
- Create clear and compelling written business proposals for ideas and recommendations for director level audiences combined with strong financial models to support the prioritization of the business initiatives.
- Build strong partnership with operations field leaders to identify new business initiatives and successfully integrate and deploy them to the network.
- Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers.
- Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth of the business.
- Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes.

About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.

Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or other technical field (or higher) or extensive Amazon experience
- Proven progressive responsibility in warehouse operations, logistics, transportation planning, carrier management, supply chain or related field
- Exposure to program and project management · Demonstrable experience managing cross-functional and regional programs influencing different stakeholders' groups
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel · Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Approximately 30-40% travel required, Highly analytical and comfortable with large analyses
- Able to quickly distill down complex operating models and identify opportunities
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level. Credible and impactful both with
- Senior Operational and Business Leaders as well as on the shop floor
- Writing SQL queries, knowledge of Python, Visual Basic, Tableau or other technical tools
