Full Job Description

We are looking for a Psychologist to join the Herefordshire and Worcestershire CAMHS service to support the care offered to children with complex emotional needs. This post would be split between the multi-disciplinary Crisis and Home Treatment Team and the CAMHS DBT Team.

We are seeking someone who is compassionate, trauma-informed and passionate about meeting the needs of children and young people with experience supporting teams in assessment, formulation and delivering psychologically informed interventions. This post would involve providing consultation, training and supervision to the CAMHS crisis and home treatment team in psychologically informed care. The successful post holder would also be a core member CAMHS DBT team offering clinical leadership, therapeutic intervention as part of the CAMHS DBT team. Ongoing training with British Isles DBT is offered with this post, in addition to CPD opportunities as part of the CAHTT CPD programme.

We have strong links to the Coventry and Warwickshire Doctorate Course and an excellent record in supporting ongoing CPD and career development for psychologists and practitioners in our service., Worcestershire CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team with three bases Kidderminster, Redditch and Worcestershire. In this role you would be offering county wide clinical leadership to the CAMHS team providing psychological interventions, supporting them in assessment, intervention and service development. Access to ongoing leadership development and support would be available for the successful post-holder.

Substantial experience of working in CAMHS and in supporting skills development for psychologists and CAMHS practitioners would be essential for this role.

You would be working closely with Psychologists and other senior clinical leaders and managers and offering advice, consultation and liaison with other agencies supporting young people. The service highly values care focused on the needs of the young person that is evidence based and delivered with compassion.
