Full Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic pharmacist with Oncology experience looking for your next challenge?

Service innovation & Trust investment has created a new pharmacist role to better enhance service delivery. You will be key in providing cross-site senior leadership & delivery of the clinical oncology and haematology pharmacy service whilst taking on the responsibility of ensuring wider support to the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team in the delivery & development of the clinical pharmacy service.

This post will serve the Ipswich and Colchester oncology and haematology sites within ESNEFT, therefore you will work cross site, but with a base site of Ipswich Hospital. You will have the opportunity to use your skills & clinical expertise to model this new job role in accordance with the departmental vision.

ESNEFT is about to embark on the implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing & administration as well as pharmacy stock control system. It is envisaged that this new role will play a key supportive role within this process moving forward.

In addition to our fully automated dispensaries we host one of the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service medicines advice sites & the Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit (including a brand new Aseptic facility).

Both sites offer oncology and haematology treatments for all main tumour sites including a bone marrow transplantation service at Ipswich.
