Full Job Description

  • To work as a psychologist in the service, providing clinical services directly to people with complex mental health problems and their families/carers and supporting the service and its staff to use strategies that enhance the psychological well-being of people who use this service and their families and/or carers.
  • To provide a specialist clinical psychology service within the ILS pathway to adults, their families or carers. To work with clients alone at the team base, in local NHS settings or other care environments, or at their home as necessary.
  • To be responsible for conducting psychological interviews, deriving information from self-report measures, rating scales, psychometrics (where necessary), direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care, interpreting complex data and giving feedback effectively and with sensitivel
