Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in neuropsychological rehabilitation at the Community Head Injury Service (CHIS) based in Aylesbury. CHIS is a county-wide service for patients with traumatic and acquired brain injury with a national reputation for clinical excellence and received an "Outstanding" rating from the Care Quality Commissions most recent review. You will join two clinical neuropsychologists providing input to our two inter-disciplinary community teams - rehabilitation and working out (vocational rehabilitation).
This role is a 1.0 WTE permanent post at Band 8a but we would consider a Band 7 with preceptorship to 8a for the right individual who doesn't currently have the necessary experience for an 8a position. Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work with people with a variety of acquired brain injury conditions (head injury, stroke, anoxic brain injury, encephalitis, meningitis, tumours) addressing cognitive, behavioural, emotional, vocational, family and relationship needs. You will also provide consultation and teaching to other health professionals and contribute to service development and evaluation.
You will receive professional support and supervision from the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. We strongly support professional development and have very close links with the Oxford Doctoral Course in Clinical Psychology. There are also strong links with the Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service also based in Aylesbury., We welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities and care-experienced candidates.
