Full Job Description

You would be responsible for leadership, development and operational management of the renal, diabetes and community dietetic teams based across Brighton & Hove, managing teams of approximately 12 people .

Alongside this leadership role you will manage a complex renal clinical caseload, including satellite haemodialysis units, AKCC clinics and cover for other renal dietitians during leave.

The work requires a current Band 7 Dietitian with renal experience and prior involvement in leading and motivating a teams, including staff recruitment, service quality & improvement and change management.

You will be expected to liaise and work collaboratively with the Dietetic teams from the other hospitals sites including the other 8As in Brighton & Hove, Worthing and Chichester. This will involve cross site travel. You will also work closely with the Therapy & Dietetics Site Leads and the Head of Dietetics., To facilitate an effective Dietetic service for Renal, Diabetes and Community dietetic teams. To provide leadership, development and operational management across Brighton & Hove. To work as part of the renal clinical team, holding a renal clinical caseload and supporting other clinical teams within the department. This role is currently split at 70% clinical and 30% managerial.

To be actively involved in clinical governance and quality improvement, taking lead responsibility for ensuring continuing professional development, audit and research activities with the department of Dietetics.
