Exciting opportunity alert! Are you a Principal Electrical Engineer looking to take on a pivotal role? Look no further! Join our team to lead the electrical engineering delivery team, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Your responsibilities will include managing studies, developing designs, and implementing technical solutions while meeting cost and schedule targets.

This key position within our Engineering Delivery function offers a chance to enhance your technical, commercial, and regulatory knowledge in the industry., Focusing on the Electrical Engineering design discipline, the role will provide the expertise needed to :

  • Get the correct technical requirements in the project technical briefs

  • Ensure and deliver the Engineering Regulatory compliance on relevant assets in the Electrical area

  • Review or approve Electrical designs as appropriate

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an Electrical design team

  • Input and continuously improve Technical Asset Standards

  • Lead excellence in Electrical Engineering for Thames Water

  • Provide technical input into Project Definition Briefs

  • Provide the technical sign-off and assurance during technical delivery, including handover

  • Ensure we are compliant with engineering-based regulatory requirements in their area


  • Hybrid Hampton Coal Wharf, London, you will be required to attend the office or site 3-4 days a week.

    36 hours a week.

    Ideally, you will be a driver and have access to a car; this role comes with £5.8k car allowance.

  • Understanding of the regulatory environment to achieve compliance with our engineering regulatory requirements.

  • Comfortable to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Degree level or equivalent with professional charter ship likely in their Engineering Discipline.

  • Competence in electrical engineering design requires combining technical and other skills, defining a problem, identifying constraints, and employing creativity and innovation.

  • Background of Low and High Voltage Systems.

  • Understanding of the technology to improve solutions and improve safety.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in regulations and their duties and obligations.

  • Competitive salary from £60,000 to £75,000 per annum.
