Croydon CAMHS are looking to recruit a Principal Family and Systemic Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead within a highly skilled, friendly and supportive service.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Systemic Family Psychotherapist who is passionate about working with children and young people. Applicants must be keen to develop collaborative approaches and support the commitment of Croydon CAMHS to continually improve access to services for all community groups.

The successful applicant with provide leadership to the wider service and ensure the systemic provision of a highly specialist family and systemic psychotherapy service.

Croydon CAMHS works closely with Kings and IoPPN to provide learning opportunities to systemic Practitioners and Psychotherapists and there are opportunists to provide additional training clinics, teaching and supervision., To be responsible for the provision of a Systemic Psychotherapy service at a highly specialist level within the mental health CAMHS team within the context of existing multi professional teamwork.

This post sits in the wider service of Croydon CAMHS, providing support and consultation across all teams, however the successful applicant will share leadership responsibilities with senior peers within the Treating Team.

To provide highly specialist assessment and clinical formulation to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs. To think creatively, work flexibly and have a range of clinical skills in working alongside others to support a complex range of service users and their network.

Although the successful applicant with sit across the whole of Croydon CAMHS, the postholder will share leadership responsibilities within the Croydon CAMHS Treating Team. Work with peers to ensure visible representation of systemic discipline and provide consultation. Support in chairing multidisciplinary meetings, and participate in child protection case conferences and reviews, etc. providing professional advice on individual care programme planning and other clinical matters as necessary. To provide systemic supervision and consultation as appropriate and enable other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
